On a regular basis I don't need to lock the bike but when I need to I use a disc lock. I have a *remove before flight* tag that I velcro to my handlebar to remind me I have it on. Since I use is rarely, it's easy to forget. In Laconia, a guy put his front wheel in the air and almost dropped his passenger because he forgot to take his lock off. Can do damage to the bike also.
